I live in a small town in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains of Northern New York. This rural setting is the backdrop for much of my fiction. In this underappreciated and beautiful part of the country, I raise my family and write my stories.
By day, I am a high school English teacher and I am as passionate about teaching as I am about writing. Colleen Wilcox once referred to teaching as “the ultimate act of optimism” and that has never been more true than in today’s world. In my students, I find inspiration and hope, even in the direst of scenarios. Because of my
background, you will find education related issues prominently featured in my blog, Seriously? Despite the ever increasing challenges of teaching in today’s world, I know that most teachers believe as I do; it takes only one person to make a difference in the life of a child. Often, this person is a teacher.
I began writing three years ago and continue to take writing courses to develop my craft. I am currently working on a Young Adult novel, featuring a protagonist who is a big-hearted boy in a small hearted world.
